Failure Modes
- Center-tube or element structural collapse

Diagnostic Methods
- Inspect the failed element and housing for deformation pattern and sealing condition.
- Review oil condition, service interval, cold-start history and evidence of excessive restriction.
- Verify bypass/regulating valve architecture and application suitability.
