PROGRESSIVE CAPTURE ZONE
The outer protection layer intercepts particles from 40 microns down to 10 microns in a graduated capture architecture that distributes contamination load evenly across the filter surface. This zone prevents premature restriction at entry points and ensures full utilization of the protection matrix capacity across the service interval. Water droplets and gel contaminants are also intercepted at this stage before reaching the precision barrier.
INTERMEDIATE PROTECTION BAND
The intermediate layer targets contamination between 10 and 4 microns — the particle size range most directly correlated with injector needle wear and spool valve erosion in HPCR systems. Fiber architecture in this zone is calibrated for maximum surface contact time, ensuring even fine particles in suspension do not migrate through to the precision barrier with sufficient velocity to cause impact damage.
ZERO MIGRATION BARRIER
The innermost layer is the SYNTEPORE™ zero migration barrier — a high-compaction protection surface designed to achieve absolute retention of any particle that reaches it from layers 1 and 2. Zero migration means no particle above 4 microns exits the element and enters the injection rail under any operating pressure or flow condition. The barrier is structurally reinforced to withstand cold-start fuel viscosity spikes without bypass.
